Raven’s totem appears among the collage of miracles. I warn people of Raven, as Northwestern American Indians know him or as Coyote in other American Indian cultures. He is the trickster and creator, for he can take human or divine form at will and deceive us. Raven is not evil, only mischievous. According to legend, Raven creates man and then steals the sun from the Gods so that man can have day. Raven bestows gifts to those that are kind to him in his various forms and Raven deceives and steals from others. We all find spiritual lessons all kinds of ways, including through gracious gifts as well as tricks that are played on us. I believe that the Raven aspect of God is at the source of many personal miracles in our lives. They reaffirm, but also can confuse and memorize us with their gifts and burdens.
