The Religion Paintings Series
These paintings express feelings I have had towards each of various religions including several Christian denominations, Sufism, traditional Islam, Buddhism and Judaism; all religions that I have tried to understand and embrace at various times in my life. Christian churches are portrayed because they exist in so many different forms and are the overwhelming majority of religious buildings from my experience. Even so, each image would be equally true to my feelings if the buildings were mosques, temples or monasteries.
