Should everyone know the new Christ?
Only a few hundred or thousand people follow of Jesus Christ in his lifetime. He is heard by many more, but at that time the Middle East has many spiritual teachers traveling about and it is likely that he is not differentiated by many. Jesus does not acquire fame as a king of a country, a great scholar or leader of an organized religion. Other religious figures, like Mohammad, Moses, Rama and Buddha, are born to royalty or became great community leaders, which gives a wide audience for their message. But, there is no contemporary record of Jesus’s life and The Bible is the only documented evidence that he even lived. This history does not make it necessary for The Messiah to be widely popular in his own lifetime.
